I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
